KATHMANDU, Nov 20: Nepal Stock Exchange (NEPSE) on Wednesday increased marginally by 9.09 points to close at 2,711.75 points.
The market opened at 2,702.65 points and plunged to the day’s low at 2,684.47 points in the first 20 minutes of trading. The market however bounced back in the next two hours and hit the day’s high at 2,713.91 points. The market reached through fluctuations and gained additional two points in the remaining period before it closed for the day.

The sensitive index, which measures the performance of ‘A’ class companies, increased nominal 0.34 points. The daily turnover declined to Rs 7.09 billion from Rs 10.46 billion on Tuesday.
Among individual companies, 144 were gainers whereas 88 companies were recorded as losers. Out of the 13 groups, eight were the gainers, with development banks adding the largest of 186.54 points. Of the five losers, non-life insurance shed the largest of 27.44 points.
Ngadi Group Power Ltd with a single day turnover of its shares worth Rs 328.19 million led the segment. Five companies including Corporate Development Bank Limited, Sindhu Bikash Bank Ltd, Nepal Hydro Developers Ltd, Saptakoshi Development Bank Ltd and Mahila Laghubitta Bittiya Sanstha Limited gained the highest of 10 percent of their market values. Gurans Laghubitta Bittiya Sanstha Limited was recorded as the topmost loser.
