KATHMANDU, Nov 17: Nepal Stock Exchange (NEPSE) increased marginally by 4.98 points to close at 2,753.76 points on Sunday.
The market opened at 2,748.78 points and initially jumped to the day’s high at 2,787.87 points in the first 36 minutes of trading. The market then went to a downward graph and reached as low as 2,749.6 points in the last two minutes.The market recovered around four points in the remaining period before it closed for the day.

The sensitive index, which measures the performance of ‘A’ class companies, declined slightly by 0.12 points. The daily turnover increased to Rs 11.72 billion from Rs 10.32 billion on Thursday.
Among individual companies, 145 were gainers whereas 92 companies were recorded as losers. Four out of 13 groups were the losers, with non-life insurance shedding the largest of 92.67 points. Of the nine gaining groups, hotels and tourism surged by the highest of 153.15 points.
Ngadi Group Power Ltd, with a single day turnover of its shares worth Rs 451.71 million, led the segment. Unnati Sahakarya Laghubitta Bittiya Sanstha Limited and Swabhimaan Laghubitta Bittiya Sanstha Limited were recorded as the topmost gainers of 10 percent in their market values. Samriddhi Finance Company Limited and Gurans Laghubitta Bittiya Sanstha Limited had the indices decline by 10 percent of their market prices.
