KATHMANDU, June 6: Nepal Stock Exchange (Nepse) on Tuesday added 25.66 points in its index to close at 1,927.65 points.
The secondary market opened at 1,901.99 points and went to the day’s low at 1,894.08 points. The market escalated in the remaining trading hours to gain an overall 1.35 percent in its index.
Nepse snaps 5-week gaining streak
In the intraday trading, 185 listed companies gained, while 31 companies lost their market values. The sensitive index that measures the performance of the blue chips companies also gained 2.87 points.
All the 13 trading groups had their market prices inclined. Non-life insurance lost the biggest of 431.69 points, followed by hotels and tourism and life insurance groups.
The daily turnover amount marginally increased to Rs 1.981 million from Rs 1.973 billion Monday.
Among individual companies, Soaltee Hotel Limited had the biggest transactions of its shares worth Rs 96.87 million. Likewise, Nyadi Hydropower Limited was the biggest gainer, while Century Debenture 2088 lost the highest percent of its market price.
