KATHMANDU, Nov 14: Nepal Stock Exchange (Nepse) on Monday increased 21.29 points to close at 1,904.45 points.
The secondary market opened at 1,883.16 points and went to the day’s low at 1,879.85 before recovering by around 25 points. The daily turnover too rose to Rs 946.08 million from Rs 774.91 million yesterday.
Nepse up for a fifth consecutive week
The sensitive index that measures the performance of blue chip companies was also added with 4.51 points. All the 13 trading groups gained in their average market values. Manufacturing and processing and life insurance gained three-digit points of 152.69 points and 117.01 points, respectively.
Among the individual companies, Shivam Cements had the largest transaction of its shares worth Rs 109.64 million. Taragaon Regency Hotel Limited gained the highest percent in its market price whereas Laxmi Equity Fund was recorded as the biggest loser of the day.
