KATHMANDU, April 28: Nepal Stock Exchange (NEPSE) on Sunday increased 14.33 points to close at 1,980.27 points.
The secondary market opened at 1,965.93 points, went down to 1,968.15 points in the first 10 minutes and remained almost stable for the next two hours. The index reached the day’s high at 1,981.55 points when the trading time was 45 minutes left. In the remaining trading hours, the market lost around one point before it closed for the day.

The sensitive index that measures the performance of ‘A’ class companies also increased 2.62 points. The daily turnover inclined to Rs 2.68 billion from Rs 2.36 billion on Thursday.
Only the trading index shed 9.52 points. Of the 12 gaining groups, non-life insurance increased the largest by 108.31 points.
Among individual companies, 179 were recorded as gainers whereas 56 were the losers.
Pokhara Finance Ltd had the largest turnover of its shares worth Rs 130.59 million, while the company was also recorded as the topmost gainer by adding 9.02 points. River Falls Power Limited plunged by the highest of 4.63 percent in its market value.
