KATHMANDU, June 2: Nepal Stock Exchange (NEPSE) on Sunday escalated by 13.51 points to close at 2,083.04 points.
The market opened at 2,069.53 points and reached the day’s high at 2,086.29 points in the first half an hour. In the next 45 minutes, the market plunged to as low as 2,068.54 points. In the remaining three hours of trading, the market fluctuated moderately and recovered around 15 points before it closed for the day.

The sensitive index that measures the performance of ‘A’ class companies also inclined 1.45 points. The daily turnover increased to Rs 4.31 billion from Rs 4.21 billion on Thursday.
Among three losing groups, manufacturing and processing posted the largest fall of 162.39 points, followed by investment and mutual funds groups. Of the 10 gainers, the trading index surged by the highest of 180.36 points.
Among individual companies, 174 were recorded as gainers whereas 61 were the losers.
Nepal Finance Ltd had the largest turnover of its shares worth Rs 226.41 million. Multipurpose Finance Company Limited topped the gainers’ lists, while Narayani Development Bank Limited had the highest fall of 9.13 percent of its market value.
