KATHMANDU, Nov 23: Nepal Stock Exchange (Nepse) on Thursday increased 9.87 points to close at 1,860.20 points.
The secondary market opened at 1,850.33 points and plunged to the day’s low at 1,826.81 points in the first one hour. However, the market inclined successively in the next moment and hit the day’s high at 1,864.6 points in the last half an hour. The market slipped around four points in the remaining period before closing for the day.

The sensitive index that measures the performance of blue chip companies also added 2.76 points. The daily turnover increased to Rs 1.348 billion from 1.087 billion on Wednesday.
Three groups including microfinance, banking and ‘others’ lost in their market values. Of the remaining 10 gainers, life insurance added 330.66 points and non-life insurance index escalated with 179.07 points.
Among individual companies, the market values of 161 companies inclined whereas 67 companies posted losses in their indices.
Nabil Bank Limited had a transaction of its shares worth Rs 131.076 million and was listed at the top in the segment. The company’s shares posted the biggest loss of 8.20 percent in its market value. Buddha Bhumi Nepal Hydropower Company gained the highest of 9.97 percent of its market price.
