KATHMANDU, Feb 25: The Nepali national cricket team has left for the UAE to play its eighth series under the ICC Cricket World Cup League Two.

KATHMANDU, Feb 25: The Nepali national cricket team has left for the UAE to play its eighth series under the ICC Cricket World Cup League Two.


The Nepali team flew to the UAE on Saturday evening. Nepal will play against Papua New Guinea along with the hosts UAE in the League Two series to be held from February 27 to March 5.

Each team will play two games against each other.


This series is important for Nepal and the UAE, who are hoping to reach the ODI World Cup qualifiers by finishing among the top three in League Two.


After playing in the UAE, these three teams will come to Kathmandu and play the final series of League Two.


Pratish JC and Shyam Dhakal are the new faces in the 15-member squad under the captaincy of Rohit Paudel for the series in the UAE.
