Nepali national brutally killed in Uganda

KATHMANDU, April 22: A Nepali national has been brutally killed in Uganda.

KATHMANDU, April 22: A Nepali national has been brutally killed in Uganda.


The victim has been identified as Sitaram Budhathoki of Salma VDC, Keurenipani, Sankhuwashabha.


According to Ramesh Kandel, chairman of Non Resident Nepalese Association (NRNA) Uganda Chapter, Budhathoki was working as a supervisor in a sugar mill factory in Uganda.

Who and why he was killed is yet to be investigated.


Hikmat Thapa, treasurer of NRN Uganda chapter, said that they are trying to establish contact with Uganda-based sugar mill factory and Nepali Embassy in Egypt for details of the incident.
