KATHMANDU, Jan 20: The main opposition Nepali Congress will organize protest programs in all 6,743 wards on Thursday against the government's decision to dissolve the House of Representatives.
Issuing a press statement, Nepali Congress President Sher Bahadur Deuba urged his party's ranks and file and pro-democracy people to participate in ward level protest programs to express solidarity against the government's undemocratic move.

"Nepali Congress strongly opposes the government's act of dissolution of parliament which is unconstitutional and against people's sentiments," Deuba said.
The Nepali Congress, along with other parties including the Dahal–Nepal faction of the ruling Nepal Communist Party, has been staging series of protest demonstrations across the country, calling the government move unconstitutional.
