KATHMANDU, Feb 14: The main opposition party Nepali Congress (NC) has urged all democrats to join their protest demonstrations to be organised against the ‘unconstitutional’ dissolution of the House of Representatives.

NC President Sher Bahadur Deuba appealed to all those who believe in democracy to participate in the protest demonstrations scheduled for Monday and express their solidarity against the ‘undemocratic and unconstitutional’ move by Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli.

“I’d like to request one and all to join the protests and make the program a huge success,” Deuba said in a press statement issued on Sunday.  “The Congress party is in the movement against the unconstitutional and undemocratic move of the government.”

The main opposition party is holding protest demonstrations in all 77 districts tomorrow.

NC and its different sister organizations had earlier held mass protests against the dissolution of the 275-member House of Representatives (HoR), on December 28, January 9, 16 and 21, and February 1 and 6.
