KATHMANDU, Oct 12: The ICC T20 World Cup Asia and East Asia-Pacific Qualifier, currently being held in Oman, enters its Super Six stage today, with Nepal set to face the United Arab Emirates (UAE) in its opening match.

The Nepal–UAE encounter will take place at the Oman Cricket Academy Turf 1 in Al Amerat, starting at 4:15 p.m. Nepal Standard Time. Both teams have entered the Super Six round unbeaten — Nepal defeated Kuwait and Japan, while the UAE triumphed over Qatar and Malaysia in the group stage.
A win against the UAE would give Nepal a strong start in the Super Six phase. Given that both sides are in good form and have recently defeated Test-playing nations, the match is expected to be highly competitive.
So far, Nepal and the UAE have faced each other 10 times in T20 Internationals, with both teams winning five matches each. The last time they met, Nepal lost to the UAE in the ACC Premier Cup.
After this match, Nepal will play against Qatar on Monday, Samoa on Wednesday, and Oman on Friday.
