KATHMANDU, Aug 8: Three more people died of the novel coronavirus disease (COVID-19) in Nepal in the last 24 hours.
According to the Ministry of Health and Population (MoHP), one individual each from Kathmandu, Parsa and Morang succumbed to COVID-19.
Speaking at a daily virtual media briefing on Saturday, health ministry spokesperson Dr Jageshwar Gautam said that a female, 41, of Tokha Municipality-6 died of COVID-19 on Aug 7 while undergoing treatment at Patan Hospital.
Similarly, a 74-year-old person from Birgunj Metropolitan City-3 also died of COVID-19 at Gandak COVID-19 Hospital. The deceased was a patient of diabetes and asthma. Likewise, a 58 years old man from Biratnagar Metropolitan City-9 also succumbed to the novel coronavirus disease at Koshi Hospital. He was also suffering from high blood pressure and pneumonia.
Likewise, the health ministry recorded 378 new cases of COVID-19 across the country in the past 24 hours.
