Nepal's COVID-19 case tally inching closer to 200,000, Kathmandu Valley confirms 93,775 cases

KATHMANDU, Nov 10: With 2,736 more people testing positive for the novel coronavirus in the past 24 hours, the total number of infections is just 240 short of the 200,000 mark.

KATHMANDU, Nov 10: With 2,736 more people testing positive for the novel coronavirus in the past 24 hours, the total number of infections is just 240 short of the 200,000 mark.


Of the 12,960 real-time PCR tests carried out in the past one day, 1,677 males and 1,059 females were diagnosed with the infection.

Since Nepal confirmed the first COVID-19 infection on January 23 earlier this year, the country’s COVID-10 caseload reached 199,760 on Tuesday afternoon as reported by the Ministry of Health and Population (MoHP). Nepal has so far confirmed 1,148 fatalities linked with COVID-19 while 160,577 patients have got over the disease.


The Kathmandu Valley reported 1,420 new cases on Tuesday, of which 817 are males and 603 are females. This has taken the total number of infections in the Valley to 93,775.
