KATHMANDU, Oct 23: As many as 877 people recovered from COVID-19 on Sunday, according to the latest information provided by the Ministry of Health and Population. Similarly, Nepal recorded 557 new cases of COVID-19 and three deaths from the deadly virus on the same day.
As many as 7,625 COVID-19 tests were conducted on Sunday. Of them, 6,061 were tested through the PCR method while 1,564 through the antigen method.

Meanwhile, the Kathmandu Valley recorded 201 cases of COVID-19 on the same day. Of them, 151 cases were recorded in Kathmandu, nine in Bhaktapur and 41 in Lalitpur districts.
Similarly, the total vaccine doses administered in the country is 15,211,161. Among the total population of 30,378,055, as much as 28.3 percent have been administered the first dose while 21.7 percent have been given both doses.
