The Kathmandu Valley recorded 499 new cases



KATHMANDU, July 6: Nepal recorded 2,634 new cases, 1,565 recoveries and 15 deaths due to COVID-19 on Tuesday.

According to the latest data from the Ministry of Health and Population (MoHP), 7,503 PCR tests and 5,082 antigen tests were conducted today. Of them, 1,718 PCR tests and 916 antigen tests turned out to be positive for COVID-19. With this, Nepal’s COVID-19 casetally has surged to 687,995 including 612,994 recoveries and 9,263 deaths.


There are currently 22,969 COVID-19 patients in home isolation, 2,859 in institutional isolation, 567 in ICUs and 171 on ventilators.


The Kathmandu Valley recorded 499 new cases of COVID-19 on Tuesday. Of them, 365 were detected in Kathmandu, 29 in Bhaktapur and 105 in Lalitpur districts.
