KATHMANDU, August 13: The Kathmandu Valley-- the federal capital of the country-- recorded 1,089 new cases of COVID-19 as Nepal recorded 3,915 new cases on Friday.
Nepal recorded 3,915 new cases of COVID-19 along with 2,118 recoveries and 27 deaths, according to the latest data from the Ministry of Health and Population (MoHP).
How to help vulnerable groups
As many as 18,582 COVID-19 tests were conducted on Friday. Of them 2,763 PCR tests and 1152 antigen tests turned out to be positive for the virus.
There are currently 38,798 active cases of COVID-19 across the country. Of them, 35,518 are in home isolation, 3,280 in institutional institutions, 736 in ICUs, 186 on ventilators and 441 in quarantine as of Friday afternoon.
Likewise, the Kathmandu Valley recorded 1,089 new cases of COVID-19 on Friday. Of them, 799 were detected in Kathmandu, 163 in Bhaktapur and 128 in Lalitpur districts.
