KATHMANDU, Sept 22: Nepal recorded 1,478 new cases of COVID-19 on Wednesday alongwith 1,630 recoveries and six deaths, according to the latest information provided by the Ministry of Health and Population (MoHP).
As many as 13,930 tests were conducted on Wednesday. Of them, 1,251 PCR and 227 antigen tests turned out to be positive for the deadly virus.

There are currently 21,139 active cases of COVID-19 across the country. Of them, 19,805 are in home isolation, 13,334 in institutional isolation, 334 in ICUs and 119 on ventilators. Similarly, 243 people are currently in quarantine facilities.
Meanwhile, the Kathmandu Valley recorded 402 new cases of COVID-19 on the same day. Of them, 261 were recorded in Kathmandu, 43 in Bhaktapur and 98 in Lalitpur districts.
