KATHMANDU, Oct 1: Nepal recorded 1,066 new cases of COVID-19 on Friday along with 938 recoveries and 13 deaths, according to the latest information provided by the Ministry of Health and Population (MoHP).
As many as 13,368 tests were conducted on Friday. Of them, 898 PCR and 168 antigen tests turned out to be positive for the deadly virus.
Nepal records 3,938 new cases, 2,012 recoveries and 37 deaths
There are currently 18,586 active cases of COVID-19 across the country. Of them, 16,881 are in home isolation, 1,235 in institutional isolation, 354 in ICUs and 116 on ventilators. Similarly, 242 people are currently in quarantine facilities.
Meanwhile, the Kathmandu Valley recorded 359 new cases of COVID-19 on the same day. Of them, 266 were recorded in Kathmandu, 31 in Bhaktapur and 62 in Lalitpur districts.
On Thursday, Nepal recorded 1,075 cases of COVID-19 alongwith 911 recoveries and 12 deaths.
