Nepal meets Pakistan in Asian Cup opener for blind

KATHMANDU, Jan 4: Nepal will take on Pakistan in the opener of the T-20 Asia Cup Cricket Tournament for the Blind slated to be held at the Jawaharlal Nehru International Stadium, Kerala in India from January 18 to 24. The tournament will be played in round robin format with top two teams sailing into the final to be played on January 24.

The match between Nepal and Pakistan will be held on January 18. However, the inaugural match will be played between India and Bangladesh on the day. Similarly, Nepal will play against host India on the 19th and take on Sri Lanka the next day.Nepal will take on Bangladesh in its fifth match of the tournament on January 21 before the final match.

Altogether five Asian men's teams -- India, Nepal, Bangladesh, Sri Lanka and Pakistan -- are taking part in the tournament.

Meanwhile, Cricket Association of Blind, Nepal, informed that it will hold its closed-camp training for the tournament from February 6 to 12.
