KATHMANDU, Feb 2: Nepal recorded 3,637 new cases of COVID-19 on Wednesday along with 7,555 recoveries and 12 deaths, according to the latest information provided by the Ministry of Health and Population (NMoHP).
As many as 11,582 swab samples (including RDT antigen data received through SMS & Email) were tested for COVID-19 on the day. Of them, 2,205 PCR and 1,432 antigen tests turned out to be positive for the deadly virus.

There are currently 69,613 active cases of COVID-19 across the country. Among them, 67,825 are in self-isolation, 1,466 in institutional isolation, 270 in ICUs, and 52 on ventilators. Similarly, 138 people are currently in quarantine facilities. So far, 11,764 people have died of the viral infection across the country.
Meanwhile, the Kathmandu Valley alone recorded 1,123 cases of the virus on Wednesday. Of them, 868 were recorded in Kathmandu, 85 in Bhaktapur, and 170 in Lalitpur districts.
