KATHMANDU, Jan 22: Nepal and Oman are set to contest in the first game of the qualifying round for the Asian Football Confederation (AFC) U-23 Football Championship to be held in Thailand in 2020.

The match will take place on March 22 in Qatar. Nepal and Oman are slated in Group ‘A’ of the championship according to the tie-sheet released by the AFC on Sunday.
Similarly, Nepal will play against the host nation Qatar on March 24 in the second match of the group before playing the last match against Afghanistan on March 26. The top finishing team in the group will qualify for the AFC U-23 championship.
