Nepal finishes with four golds

KATHMANDU, Aug 10: Nepal finished WAKO Asian Kick-boxing Championship with 18 medals including four gold, five silver and nine bronze medals in the event that concluded in Pune, India on Sunday.

Santosh Khadka, Binda Nepali, Rijan Thapa Magar and Arati Tamang bagged gold medals. Binda won two silver medals as well, while Rijan added a silver and bronze medal. Likewise, Arati and Santosh clinched a bronze each for Nepal, according to Nepal Kick-boxing Association.Rudra Bahadur Limbu won silver and a bronze, while Prakash Bista won a silver medal. Bibash Dawadi, Bil Bahadur Tamang, Ram Krishna Raut and Bibek Lama claimed a bronze medal each.

Meanwhile, Rajan Bhujel, Ramesh Nepali, Tej Bahadur Basnet, Raju Singh and Krishna Jackie participated in the referee seminars organized during the championship.

Nepali team is scheduled to return home on Monday. Players from 32 nations took part in the championship.
