Nepal's Gaurika Singh becomes first Nepali swimmer to win four golds in 13th South Asian Games

KATHMANDU, Dec 9: Gaurika Singh became the first Nepali swimmer to win four golds in the swimming competition at the 13th South Asian Games on Monday. She also broke her previous national record on the day.

KATHMANDU, Dec 9: Gaurika Singh became the first Nepali swimmer to win four golds in the swimming competition at the 13th South Asian Games on Monday. She also broke her previous national record on the day. 


At the Satdobato Swimming Complex, Singh completed the women’s 100 meters freestyle event with a timing of 58.13 seconds to clinch four golds which no Nepali swimmer was able to achieve at the SAG. She defeated her Indian opponent Shivangi Sharma during the competition.

So far, Gaurika has won 4 golds, 1 silver and 2 bronze in the 13th SAG.
