KATHMANDU, Sept 21: The Department of Hydrology and Meteorology has forecast heavy rain accompanied by gusty winds at many places of the country for the next five days.
The low pressure area around the north-east of the Bay of Bengal is in the process of shifting toward the north-west and heavy rain along with gusty winds is expected to take place at many places of the country for the next four to five days as a result of this weather condition, according to the department.

The department has urged everyone to take necessary precautions.
Nepal has witnessed cloudy weather throughout the country on Monday with heavy rainfall accompanied by thunder and lightning at many places including the Kathmandu Valley.
The Kathmandu Valley recorded a minimum temperature of 20.0 degrees Celsius and maximum of 31.0 degrees Celsius on Monday.
Similarly, the minimum temperature throughout the country was recorded in Jumla at 14.4 degrees Celsius, while the maximum temperature was recorded in Nepalgunj at 36.5 degrees Celsius.
