The Nepal Bhasa film 'Karma' based on a Buddhist story began its screening at Gun Cinema Hall, Gwarko on Saturday. The film produced by Rajendra Shakya (Dijiendra) has been written and directed by Ram Krishna Khadgi.

The film stars Madan Krishna Shrestha, Karma Shakya, Ashishma Nakarmi, Narayan Devi Pradhan, Yaman Shrestha, Krishnabhakta Maharjan, Lunibha Tuladhar among others.
Actor Karma Shakya, Yaman Shrestha, Krishna Bhakta Maharjan, producer Chhabiraj Ojha and others were present in the special show of the first day as per a press statement released by the production team. Producer Dijendra said that the entire proceeds of the film would be used for the restoration, protection, and promotion of Buddhist Bihar and would be provided to various social organizations, it read. Director Ram Krishna said that the film will be screened in Guna Cinema continuously for one month now.
The same group had earlier produced the films 'Patachara' and 'Krishna Gautami' in the Buddhist story. Proceeds from both films were spent on social work.
