Winning the toss, Nepal invited Invitational XI to bat first and spinner Shakti Gauchan claimed three wickets to restrict the local team to 91/9. In the run-chase, Nepal achieved the target losing four wickets and with one over to spare.[break]
Gyanendra Malla topscored for Nepal with 33 before being caught by Md Azharuddin. Malla hit two boundaries during his 39-ball knock. Pradeep Airee hit a boundary in his 24 off 21 and skipper Paras Khadka added 21 off 36. Opener Subash Khakurel was out for six runs while Binod Bhandari (3) and Sharad Vesawkar (0) remained unbeaten.
Vikash Dikshit of Invitational XI picked up two wickets while Nitish Rana and Md Azharuddin took one each.
Earlier, captain Shakib Alam scored the highest 18 runs for Invitational XI. Opener Hiten Dalal (13), Vikash Dikshit (13), Sandeep Raj Kaushik (11) and Nitesh Rana (10) were the other batsmen to reach double figures.
Nepal´s spinner Gauchan claimed three wickets conceding nine runs in his four-over spell that included a maiden over. Basanta Regmi took 2-19 in four overs. Amrit Bhattarai, Jitendra Mukhiya and Paras Khadka took one wicket each bowling four overs each.
Nepal is in the Indian capital to prepare for the World T20 Qualifiers to be held from November 15 to 30 in the United Arab Emirates.
Nepal has been drawn in Group B of the qualifiers along with Afghanistan, Scotland, the Netherlands, Papua New Guinea, Kenya, Bermuda and Denmark. The top six teams of the qualifiers will progress to the World T20 2014 to be held in Bangladesh.
