Nepal bags three medals at 15th World Bodybuilding and Physique Sports Championship

KATHMANDU, Nov 9: Nepal won three medals on Friday at the 15th World Bodybuilding and Physique Sports Championship in Male, Maldives. 


Three Nepali bodybuilders, Rujesh Shahi, Prajwalman Shakya, and Rajani Shrestha, secured silver medals for Nepal. In the championship organized by the Bodybuilding Association of Maldives, Shakya won a silver medal in the Masters 40–49 age category in the under 80 kg weight class, competing against 10 participants. While Shahi won silver in the 60 kg category, Shrestha secured silver in the 55 kg and above category.

A total of six Nepali bodybuilders are participating in the competition. Lalit Dhimal, Rajit Acharya, and Sanam Mulguthi are set to compete on Saturday.
