Fitness Park Opens at CTC Mall

KATHMANDU, Nov 16: The opening program of well-equipped Fitness Park and Spa was held on Wednesday at CTC Mall, Sundhara. The event was inaugurated by Minister of Youth and Sports Rajendra Kumar KC and witnessed by other distinguished guests including former Member of Parliament and owner of CTC Mall Ichhya Raj Tamang along with bodybuilders Nanita Maharjan and Rujesh Shahi, who recently won silver and bronze medals in the ninth WBPF World Bodybuilding and Physique Sports Championship in Ulaanbaatar, Mongolia.

KATHMANDU, Nov 16: The opening program of well-equipped Fitness Park and Spa was held on Wednesday at CTC Mall, Sundhara. The event was inaugurated by Minister of Youth and Sports Rajendra Kumar KC and witnessed by other distinguished guests including former Member of Parliament and owner of CTC Mall Ichhya Raj Tamang along with bodybuilders Nanita Maharjan and Rujesh Shahi, who recently won silver and bronze medals in the ninth WBPF World Bodybuilding and Physique Sports Championship in Ulaanbaatar, Mongolia. 


The Fitness Spa aims at promoting fitness culture in Kathmandu while also providing proper and well equipped fitness outlets for the fitness lovers. The equipment required for cardio exercises has been imported from Paul’s Fitness Training, a renowned training center based in the UK. Similarly, the Fitness Park also offers other exercisable equipment belonging to DHZ Fitness from China.

Fitness facilities at the Park include gym cardio, spa and sauna, Jacuzzi, steam bath, zumba and aerobics, single station gym, trampoline and group cycling. The Fitness Park also has a café and food station that serves nutritional diet. Moreover, the place ensures a fitness workout environment for people of all ages amid a relaxed ambience through reliable and professional trainers. 


The Fitness Park also provides primary medication with annual insurance facility. “We also have Body Composition Analyzer (BCA) machine which will detect the physical health of a person and guide them to the amount of exercise they need per day,” said Director of Fitness Park and Spa, Harishankar Puri. 


Vice-chairperson of Body Building Association, Dinesh Raj Bhandari, stated the importance of exercising and physical fitness. He said, “We all are living a busy life with no fresh air to breathe. I believe the establishment of the Fitness Park marks a beginning which would lead us to a healthy and stress-free life.”


Expanded to 6,000 sq feet in area with the capacity to accommodate up to 400 people, the Fitness Park is open every day from 5 am-9 pm.
