Several literary publications of the Nepal Academy are in the wait for a better market. Samakalin (prose-based quarterly), Pragya (half-yearly journal with the review by experts), Journal Of Nepalese Studies (half-yearly English journal), 'Kabita' (a quarterly anthology of poems) and a literary news-based quarterly are being published regularly by the Academy. Similarly, 'Pragya Gatibidhi' (which means the Academy's activities), multi-linguistic half-yearly publication 'Sayaptrai', Nepal Bhasa's annual journal 'Thayamu', Maithili's language's journal 'Aangan', Limbu language's journal 'Phaktanglung', Bhojpuri language's journal 'Mahua' and half-yearly child magazine 'Balpragya' are the regular publications of Academy.

According to Academy member secretary prof Jagat Prasad Upadhayay, though an agreement with the Sajha Publication was signed for the sale of these publications, the smooth supply could not take place, compelling the Academy to call for a new tender towards that end. But no company showed the interest and the Academy will respond the issue through a new approach after the Dashain.
