NEFEJ to broadcast cultural documentaries

KATHMANDU, May 11: Nepal Fedaration of Environmental Journalists (NEFEJ) will be broadcasting 14 documentaries on different cultures of Nepal. The documentaries will be shown on a fortnightly basis beginning Tuesday.



This series of documentaries is called Hamro Sanskriti: Hamro Parampara and will contain various aspects of Nepali culture that have remained hidden from the public eye. The first documentary will focus on the Newar community´s tradition of gufa.



The documentaries will be broadcast at 6:30 pm on Avenues Television and have been made by a combined effort of NEFEJ and the Danish Embassy. The purpose of the documentaries is to show positive aspects of Nepali culture at a time of conflict.
