The export, aimed at working toward Nepali industrial and trade development as well as creating a platform for the promotion of international business, will provide a platform for awareness, perception and positioning of business; create a hub for new connections and networking; and introduce learning, and sharing of knowledge on new trends in the market, the organizers said on Monday.The expo will also focus on consumer rights by campaigning for use of quality products and services.
South Korea is the Partner Country and Vietnam is the Focus Country of the expo, according to Rastra Bhusan Chakubaji, coordinator of the event. "Korean products and services will be exhibited in around 40 stalls in the Partner Country Pavilion. Similarly, Vietnamese products and services will be exhibited in around 15 stalls in the Focus Country Pavilion," he added.
Nepal Chamber Expo is an initiation to establish quality business event to bring together national and international business enterprises under one roof to showcase the growing trend of trade and industry and its future potential, Chakubaji said, adding that it is believed to portray the will, strength, and commitment of the Nepali business community for development and rebuilding of the economy after the massive earthquake. "The Expo is also expected to play a vital role in increasing exports to lower country's trade deficit," he added.
Scheduled on the eve of major festivals, the expo is anticipated to generate a festive and fun-filled environment for the buyers and the general visitors. The expo will have stalls for automobile, electrical and electronics, flooring and furnishing, home appliances, modular kitchen, fashion wear and accessories, mobile and gadgets, and FMCG among others..
The expo will have around 180 stalls, according to the organizers.
