RUPANDEHI, Nov 23: The Central Committee member of the Nepali Congress (NC) Arjun Narsingh KC has said that the party will enter into a new era of institutionalized and collective leadership after the Mahasamiti meeting.

Speaking at a press meet organized by Press Union in Rupandehi on Saturday, leader KC said, "The party can no longer run through dictatorship. The time has come for us to get united for collective leadership." However, he clarified that he has no intention to make party president weaker.

On a different note, KC said the NC is always in favor of democracy. He accused the two thirds majority government of yielding no achievements in the period of nine months.

He said it would be appropriate to only evaluate the achievements of the Oli-led government once 20 percent of its mandated term elapses. Currently, leaders are busy lobbying hard to garner support in their favor for Mahasamiti meeting.

The Mahasamiti meeting, which will prepare ground for the party's General Convention, has been scheduled for December 14-18.
