KATHMANDU, Dec 16: Nepali Congress (NC) senior leader Ram Chandra Poudel has called for making the party united during a meeting with newly-elected vice president of the party Dhanraj Gurung today. Gurung has been elected to the post of vice president from the party's 14th General Convention.
Congratulating Gurung on his victory, senior leader Poudel emphasized the need for consolidating the party unity for winning the upcoming three tiers of elections. He also suggested running the party according to its statute.

Leader Poudel said that he and Dr Shashank Koirala are on a mission to foster unity and goodwill in the party.
On the occasion, the newly-elected vice president asserted that he was also for a united party and to make it an ace party competing with the opponents during the general elections. He made it clear that he will be involved in the campaign of freeing the party from factionalism.
