KATHMANDU, July 4: A heated discussion took place at the Nepali Congress Parliamentary Party meeting after NC leader Amaresh Kumar Singh entered into Nepal-based Indian Embassy with Madhes-centric leaders.

Tension flared in the meeting today as soon as NC lawmaker Keshv Kumar Budhathoki raised the issue of Singh's entry with Madhes-centric leaders into the Indian Embassy.

Budhathoki demanded a strong action against Singh, saying that the party's image has been degraded due to Singh's such activities.

While the lawmakers including Budhathoki were fuming complaints at Singh, PP leader Sushil Koirala, who is also the prime minister of Nepal, remained silent. When the meeting was over, the lawmakers asked Koirala to take action against Singh. In reply, Koirala assured that the party will seek clarification from Singh on his entry into the embassy.

On Friday, while deliberations were underway on the draft of the new constitution in New Baneshwar, lawmaker Amaresh Kumar Singh along with Madhes-centric leaders had entered Indian Embassy in Lainchaur.

Leaders from Tarai Madesh Loktantrik Party, Federal Socialist Forum Nepal, Sadbhawana Party, Sanghiya Sadbhawana Party had reached Indian Embassy yesterday.
