KATHMANDU, July 17: The central committee meeting of Nepali Congress (NC) unanimously decided to propose its parliamentary party leader Ram Chandra Paudel as the party candidate for the Prime Minister´s election scheduled for July 21.
The meeting which was held at the party headquarters in Sanepa on Saturday took the decision to this effect. [break]
Paudel´s name was proposed by Sher Bahadur Deuba while seconded by KB Gurung who both were the most probable candidates of the party for the coveted post.
The NC was able to take the decision as Deuba who had been claiming his stake for the coveted post changed his mind.
