KATHMANDU, Sept 4: A lawmaker from the main opposition Nepali Congress Gagan Thapa has urged Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli to take rest citing the fact that the prolonged absence of the country's executive head may have an adverse impact to the entire national security and diplomatic dealings.
Speaking at the special hour of the parliamentary session on Wednesday, lawmaker Thapa said the prime minister should not rush as he is not healthy.

“PM is under huge workload pressure in the recent times, however, given his poor health condition he has not been able to discharge his duties though he has strong will power,” Thapa argued.
Thapa further advised the ruling Nepal Communist Party to present an alternative to the PM Oli and give him a rest. "As the party holds a two-thirds majority, it is easy for the NCP top brass to pick someone else as the prime minister in place of Oli," he said.
