KATHMANDU, Aug 12: Nepal Association of Tour Operator (NATO) has expressed concern over the Kathmandu Metropolitan’s act of increasing entry fee for tourists to Kathmandu Durbar square.

The fee has been increased to Rs 500 from Rs 300. [break]

According to the NATO, the abrupt increase to entry fee will not contribute to the government´s campaign of bringing in more outbound tourists in the context when all the tour packages for 2011 and 2012 have been already sold off.

NATO has also urged the Metropolitan City not to bring its recent decision to the effect before January 2013.
