A meeting of District Security Committee this morning declared nine VDCs and one municipality around Tikapur Municipality as riot zones concluding that violent incidents are possible in the areas.
Pathariya, Durgauli, Dansinhapur, Manowa, Narayanipur, Joshipur, Khailad, Bahauniya and Bhajani Trishakti Municipality have been declared as riot zones.
With the decision, NA personnel from Gorange and Teghari barracks have been mobilized.

At least eight persons, including a Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP), two inspectors of the Nepal Police, and a two-year-old toddler were killed and 42 other policemen were injured in the clash with agitating Tharuhat activists in Shankarpur area of Tikapur Municipality on Monday.
A meeting of security council had later authorized Chief District Officers to declare riot zone and deploy NA personnel.
