Myanmar prez, wife visit Lumbini

LUMBINI, Aug 30: Myanmar's President Win Myint, who arrived in Nepal Tuesday to participate in the BIMSTEC summit meeting, visited Gautam Buddha's birthplace Lumbini on Wednesday. He was accompanied by his wife Cho Cho and high ranking officials.

LUMBINI, Aug 30: Myanmar's President Win Myint, who arrived in Nepal Tuesday to participate in the BIMSTEC summit meeting, visited Gautam Buddha's birthplace Lumbini on Wednesday. He was accompanied by his wife Cho Cho and high ranking officials.

He expressed happiness to have been able to offer prayers and worship at Buddha's birthplace. While signing in the guest register, President Myint expressed gratitude toward the government of Nepal for providing the opportunity.
