CoAS Chhetri returns home after visit to China, Myanmar

KATHMANDU, July 14: Chief of Army Staff General Rajendra Chhetri returned home on Friday after completing his official visit to China and Myanmar. CoAS Chhetri had left for the official visit of China and Myanmar on July 3.

KATHMANDU, July 14: Chief of Army Staff General Rajendra Chhetri returned home on Friday after completing his official visit to China and Myanmar. CoAS Chhetri had left for the official visit of China and Myanmar on July 3. According to a press statement issued by the Directorate of PublicRelations of Nepal Army (NA), General Chhetri held meetings with State Counsellor Aung San Suu Kyi, Army Chief Senior General Min Aung Hlaing and the Nepali diaspora living in Myanmar during his visit to Myanmar. Similarly, CoAS Chhetri during his visit to China from July 8 to 13 held meetings with Chinese defense minister, chief of the People's Liberation Army of China, western sector commander and other senior army officials. NA said that this kind of visit is expected to further strengthen the bilateral military relations.
