Myanmar, Sri Lanka presidents to visit Lumbini

KATHMANDU, Aug 29: Myanmar President Win Myint will be visiting Lumbini Wednesday. Tourism Minister Rabindra Adhikari, Province 5 Governor Uma Kantha Jha and Chief Minister Shankar Pokharel will welcome President Myint at the Lumbini Helipad.

KATHMANDU, Aug 29: Myanmar President Win Myint will be visiting Lumbini Wednesday. Tourism Minister Rabindra Adhikari, Province 5 Governor Uma Kantha Jha and Chief Minister Shankar Pokharel will welcome President Myint at the Lumbini Helipad.

President Myint will be visiting Mayadevi Temple at Lumbini World Heritage Site where he will also participate in an offering. This will followed by a visit to the Burmese Temple in Lumbini and a visit to the Panditarama Dhyan Kendra. He will fly back to Kathmandu at 2:30 pm the same day.


Likewise, Sri Lankan President Maithripala Sirisena will also be touring Lumbini on September 1 after the conclusion of the BIMSTEC summit.
