KATHMANDU, Nov 15: Metropolitan Traffic Police Division (MTPD) has recovered more than Rs 2.1 million worth of properties lost by public transport commuters in fiscal year 2016/17.
The MTPD launched a search on basis of complaints filed between mid August to mid November. The traffic police recovered lost properties related to 61 complaints out of the total of 76 registered complaints, said Deputy Superintendent of Police (DSP), Sabin Pradhan, of MTPD.
The recovered properties include 23 sets of mobile phones, one iPod, four laptops, six passports, five citizenship certificates, five bags filled with clothes, and two sets of cameras. The police also recovered Rs 227,000 and USD 3,000 in cash. RSS
