DHANGADI, July 8: A minor who had been missing from Tikapur Municipality-9 in Kailali since July 5 was found dead on Wednesday. According to police investigation, the death of the minor has been suspected to be a murder case.
Bibek Bista was reported missing after heading out to eat sweets with his 15-year-old sister, Poonam Bista on Monday at around 11 AM. According to Poonam, she had left her brother on the side of the road for five minutes while she went to her friend's house. Upon her return to the spot, her brother was not there.
Child missing in Kaligandaki river found dead
The dead body of the minor was found on Wednesday, almost two kilometers away from his home at Jamara Kulo in Tikapur Municipality-4.
According to Bishwa Adhikari, Deputy Superintendent of Police of the district, the child appears to have been targeted over a family dispute. He said that a press conference will be held today to announce the names of the people allegedly involved in the murder of the child. Also, the sister and a few others are under investigation as well, Adhikari said.
