Minister Pandey bereaved of father

KATHMANDU, Sept 24: Netra Raj Pandey, father of Finance Minister Surendra Pandey, passed away Friday at the age of 84. He was suffering from asthma and heart disease and was living in Kathmandu since about a year.



According to his family sources and friends, Pandey was admitted in Norvic Hospital at around 1am Friday when his health condition deteriorated.



He breathed his last at 12:30 pm. His last rites were performed on Friday at Pashupati, Arya Ghat.



He is survived by five sons, including CPN-UML politburo member Ranjendra Pandey, and four daughters.
