KATHMANDU, Jan 20: Nepali Congress (NC) Central Working Committee member and former minister Nabindra Raj Joshi have been bereaved of his father on Friday.

According to a press statement issued by NC, his father Gajendra Raj Joshi aged 83 died due to asthma. The last rites of the deceased were performed at Pashupati Aryaghat Friday evening.
NC President Sher Bahadur Deuba, senior leader Ram Chandra Paudel, General Secretary Shashank Koirala and other senior leaders of the party had extended their condolences. A large number of party leaders and well-wishers had also reached Pashupati Aryaghat to pay their tributes.
