Minister Dahal monitors transport mgmt office at Capital’s Gurjudhara

KATHMANDU, Jan 28: Minister for Labor, Employment and Transport Ghanshyam Dahal of Bagmati Province has directed the officials to digitize the written files in the department of transport management.


Minister Dahal gave such instructions while monitoring the transport management office at Gurjudhara in Kathmandu on Friday. He said that the cluttered files in the department should be placed in a systematic manner saying that it would create a big problem in the future. He said that in case digitalization is not possible right away, the private sector should be invited to tender and the written files should be digitized.

Similarly, Minister Dahal said that it was necessary to transform the current style in the transport office, adding that new technology should be introduced in the office. He said that as many middlemen are active at the transport offices across the country, a new system should be set up in the office where there is no need for cash transactions.


Likewise, Minister Dahal said that honest employees are also being blamed due to middlemen in the transport department and warned the middlemen not to enter the office. He also instructed the authorities concerned to create an environment for the service recipients to complete the work in a systematic manner.
