Mercury drops in Nepalgunj with minimum temperature recorded at 7.8 degrees

NEPALGUNJ, Jan 3: Nepalgunj is experiencing a drop in temperature, making life challenging after a prolonged period of cold weather.


According to Kumar Rana, assistant meteorologist at the Office of Hydrology and Meteorology, Nepalgunj, the minimum temperature in Nepalgunj this morning was 7.8 degrees Celsius and the maximum temperature has been predicted at 21 degrees Celsius. "This is the temperature measured at 8:45 this morning," he said.

Earlier, on Tuesday, Nepalgunj witnessed a further drop in temperature. The office reported a minimum temperature of 6.5 degrees Celsius and a maximum temperature of 18.5 degrees Celsius at 8:45 am on Tuesday.


Rana said that Tuesday's temperatures were even lower than those on Wednesday. Nepalgunj is currently covered in a mist and fog, with a lack of proper sunshine for the past few days.


The increasing cold is affecting children, senior citizens, and others. Despite the extreme cold, children are compelled to attend school, adding to the challenges posed by the weather conditions.
