BANEPA, August 8: Australian Embassy has provided medical equipment worth Rs 3.850 million to Reiyukai Eiko Masunga Eye Hospital at Banepal municipality-6.
At a program organized by the Hospital here today, Australian Ambassador to Nepal, Peter Budd, handed over the medical equipment to the chairperson of Hospital Management Committee, Madhu Acharya. On the occasion, Ambassador Budd said that he was very happy to provide support to the Eye Hospital and the medical equipment provided by the Australian Embassy would further help in treatment. He also asked the hospital family to provide eye services to the people of remote areas.
Similarly, Mayor of Banepa municipality, Laxmi Narsingh Bade Shrestha said that the support provided by the Australian government to the eye hospital as well as treatment of the people suffering from breast and cervical cancer was incomparable. Executive Director of Sewa Foundation, Ram Sharan Kandel said that they have been collaborating with the hospital for the past three years and would give continuity to such act in days ahead. Rotary Club of Dhulikhel handed over Rs 200,000 and Banepa-based Creative Saving and Credit Cooperatives Rs 50,000 to the hospital on the occasion.
