KATHMANDU, May 13: Outreach Nepal has lifted the first ever Nepal Ice AAN Futsal Tournament 2018 defeating Media Basket by a scoreline of 7-2 in the final match played in Kathmandu on Saturday.
Outreach has became inaugural winners of a futsal tournament organized by AAN for the extension and expansion of media houses, advertising agencies and corporate. Outreach Nepal received the cash prize of Rs 75, 000 whereas the first runner-up Media Basket bagged Rs 50, 000 home.
Similarly, second runner-up Welcome won Rs 30,000 with trophies. Welcome defeated M.A.R.S to finish third in the tournament after both the team lost the semi-final matches. The six-day event was participated by 31 teams from different media, agencies and corporate houses which were started on May 7. The tournament was sponsored by Nepal Ice and medically supported by Nepal Medicity Hospital. Winner teams were awarded jointly by sponsor Nepal Ice Senior General Manager Pradeep Pudasaini, General Manager Lal Babu Prasad, AAN former President Madhab Raj Timilsena and current President Rabindra Kumar Rijal Shashi. Awards for different categories like best goalkeeper and highest goal scorer were awarded in the concluding presentation of the event.
